Your birth details and chats

This consent is about how we use your personal data, under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Please read it before you share your birth details.

What we collect

  • Your name, or the name you give us
  • Your date, time and place of birth
  • The messages you write in the chat, and the replies you receive
  • Life events you choose to tell us about, such as a new job, a marriage or a move
  • Your phone number, which you use to sign in

Why we use it

We use your birth details to calculate your birth chart (kundli). We use your chats and life events to understand your situation and to make the guidance personal to you, for example by remembering what you told us earlier. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

What we learn from your chats

To make the guidance fit you, we keep short notes from what you tell us in the chat: for example your family roles (such as "mother" or "spouse", never their names), your work and study, your general money situation, worries you mention about health (only the kind of worry, never a diagnosis or medicine), your goals, life events with their dates, and the remedies you try. We link your life events to the periods (dashas) of your chart. We also keep a short note on how to talk to you, made from how you like to be spoken to, such as simple or detailed, gentle or direct, Hindi or English, and your reading level. We also note how you seemed to feel recently.

We never keep your religion, caste, or other people's names or contact details, and we never keep ID numbers or bank details.

These notes are stored on our servers. To write them and to make our replies fit you, we send your messages and these notes to our AI provider, which processes them outside India.

You can see, correct or delete any of these notes on the Account page. You can also pause them, or forget everything we learned from your chats. When you pause, we stop learning new notes and we stop using the notes to personalise your guidance. Notes you edit yourself stay until you delete them or your account.

How long we keep it

  • Birth details and life events: until you delete your account.
  • Chats: up to 12 months, after which they are deleted.
  • Notes learned from chats: up to 12 months after you last mentioned them. Some are kept for less time: notes about how you feel, 14 days; worries and concerns, 180 days; remedies you tried, 120 days.
  • The record that you gave consent: kept even after you delete your account, as proof. It holds the document version, its language, the time and your signature, but not your birth details or your chats.

Your rights

You can withdraw this consent at any time. The app cannot give you guidance without your birth details, so withdrawing means deleting your account, which you can do from the app whenever you like. When you delete your account, we erase your birth details, chats, life events and everything we learned from your chats, including the notes we keep about you. Withdrawing does not undo what was done before, but nothing new is processed after it.

If you do not agree, please do not continue; you will not be able to use the chat.

Processing outside India

To write replies in the chat, we use an AI service run by a company located outside India. This consent is about sending your data to that company.

What is sent

Each time you send a message, we send the AI provider:

  • the text of your message and of the recent conversation;
  • your birth details and chart (the name you gave, and your date, time and place of birth);
  • a short summary of things you shared with us earlier, such as life events.

We send only what is needed to write a good reply. We do not send your phone number.

What this means for you

  • Your data leaves India and is processed on the provider's computers in another country, where the laws on personal data are different from India's.
  • The provider uses it to produce the reply. It may keep it for a limited time under its own policies, for example to detect misuse of its service.
  • We choose the provider and remain responsible to you for how your data is handled.

Withdrawal

You can withdraw this consent at any time. Without it the AI guide cannot reply to you, so the chat stops working; to withdraw, delete your account in the app. Withdrawing does not undo data already sent, but nothing new is sent after it.

If you do not agree, please do not continue; you will not be able to use the chat.

Our team reads your chats during testing

During testing, a small team, including our astrologer Nidhi Arora, reads your conversations with the guide to check and improve its replies.

What the team can see

  • Your name and your phone number.
  • Your first name and your language.
  • A short summary of your chart.
  • Your conversations with the guide.

Which chats

Only chats from the time you agree are included. Chats from before that are not read.

Test questions made from reviewed answers

Reviewed answers may be turned into anonymous test questions. We remove names, phone numbers and places first. These test questions are kept after you leave the app or delete your account.

This is needed during testing

This agreement is needed to use the app during testing. If you do not want it, do not continue. You can delete your account in Account at any time.

Your agreement is saved

We save when you agree, so we can show what you agreed to.

Visit statistics (analytics)

If you accept in the banner, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It sets cookies on your device and sends usage data to Google. If you decline, nothing is loaded.

We send no names, phone numbers, birth details, chat text or account numbers to analytics, and we do not use analytics for advertising. Advertising features stay off.
